Chocolate ganache desserts, or rather, the chocolate ganache itself, can turn ordinary cakes, cookies, and tarts, into edible works of art! Today I’m sharing recipes for 20 chocolate ganache desserts with you!

Ganache is a rich, silky smooth dessert sauce. Traditionally, it’s made with a ratio of 1 part high quality chocolate to 1 part heavy whipping cream. Because of the high fat content in heavy cream, ganache firms up as it cools, so it can be used to make dessert fillings, glazes, and even whipped frosting.

When the prices for dairy products went up last summer, I stopped using heavy cream for the most part. Paying seven dollars for a quart of it was just too expensive for me. That’s when I learned how to make chocolate ganache without heavy cream. That recipe uses just 3 ingredients and those ingredients cost a lot less than the heavy cream version.

My 3-ingredient ganache recipe was my most popular recipe of 2015! It took off like a wildfire on Pinterest, too.
