15 Fun Halloween Party Food Ideas for Kids
Fun Halloween party food ideas like these will guarantee a holiday filled with spooky deliciousness and lots of laughter! These are themed food desserts and spooky fun snacks that kids and adults will love!
Some of you have been with me since the early days, so you may remember my one and only Halloween post, where I discussed my lack of crafting skills. I proved it by making spider web cookies that look like they were decorated by a 5-year old. See?
The next year, I decided to stray from sweets. I made Jack O Lantern Stuffed Bell Peppers. Slightly more creative, but not more crafty. Look at those poor little droopy faces!
At least I can laugh at myself. 🙂
This year, I want to give creative crafting with food another try. I mean, really. I shouldn’t be left out of making fun Halloween creations because I wasn’t born with a crafting gene, should I?
So I made spooky spiders from mini doughnuts, Reese’s pieces, and pretzels. They’re super duper easy to make, so I’m heading on a no-fail mission.
Just break the pretzels into pieces, then use the curved parts for the spider’s legs. Use Reese’s pieces for the eyes. I got the candy to stay on by using a dab of chocolate cookie icing (I bought the kind that comes in a tube). At first glance, I thought they were rather creative, and possibly even cute.
But it was brought to my attention by a certain someone whom I love dearly but whom I then wanted to strangle, that they aren’t anatomically correct. #SpidersHave8Legs #DuhBecca #ImADoofus.
It didn’t matter, though. My crafting gene had gotten tired, and I was not about to make more silly, yet adorable spiders. Those cute arachnids would just have to accept the fact that they’re partially disabled, and learn to deal.
Does anyone know where I can find a wheelchair for spiders?
Then I made an executive, and quite brilliant decision! I ran to my foodie friends, begging them to let me share their fun Halloween food creations. That decision has been the most brilliant one I’ve made this month, because LOOK what they’ve brought to the party!
Creative, easy, and delicious!

Great creepy collection! Thanks for including my Deviled Spider Eggs!
What a bunch of fun ideas…perfect for the season! (even if your spiders are a bit on the slow side thanks to a lack of legs…haha!)
Aren’t my friends creative, Dave?! Haha… I know, my poor disabled spider. I read him the story of the tortoise and the hare last night. Slow and steady wins the race, even on 4 legs 😉
I love all the Halloween idea. I wish that I was that creative.
I’m glad you enjoyed the post, Dawn. I hope it gave you some fun Halloween inspiration!
Becca, this is such a fun collection of Halloween treats and spooky eats 🙂 Thank you for including our Grilled Ghostly Pizza!
Such cute ideas! I am NOT crafty and can totally relate to giving up on the spiders…I’d happily eat one of your 4 legged friends 🙂
Thanks, Liz!! The great news is that they’re just as tasty without the extra legs 😉
Halloween is our fave Holiday around our house….these are all so cute I just don’t know which one I want to try first!
Those spiderweb cookies are amazing! I love all of these. Will have to try some with my daughter.
I hope you and your daughter have a great time together in the kitchen, Dawn!
I am a HUGE fan of Halloween and am always looking for cute new recipes that have that spook factor for the occasion. Loving the mummy cupcakes, and the Frankenstein cupcakes. The pumpkin stuffed peppers are seriously creative. Can’t believe I never thought of that. Super well done!

Those little spiders with pretzels are too clever and cute. So is everything on this list, actually. <3
